Hamazasp Harutyunyan (1902–1971) lived a life full of active work and rich events. A wise and experienced diplomat who held high positions in the Soviet Union’s foreign policy system, he remained a devoted son of his people, never for a moment forgetting their needs and concerns.
This work is based on Harutyunyan’s diaries, in which he made entries over the course of several decades. Alongside purely professional notes related to his official duties, he devoted considerable attention to culture—for he was not only a connoisseur of it, but also a close friend to many prominent writers, painters, composers, and directors. He met with them frequently, assisting them in many matters.
The book focuses on these very themes and episodes, which will undoubtedly be of great interest to the reader.
