To give socks the appearance of knitted fabric, Armenians placed them on specially prepared wooden forms or molds.

The sock, fitted on the mold, was fired over a flame, and extra fibers sticking out were burned both outside and inside, giving the sock a smoother, cleaner, and more refined look.

After these socks went out of use, their molds disappeared as well.

However, since the second half of the 20th century, woodcraft masters, continuing the ancient traditions, have been creating beautiful carved patterns, which now serve primarily a decorative purpose.

Today, these traditional forms inspire us to create unique silver jewelry and rings, combining ancient motifs with modern design.
