Reading is one of the primary stages in teaching the Armenian language in elementary school. Reading has its peculiarities in the 1st grade, aiming at the consolidation and further development of reading ability, the teaching of the mother tongue, the enrichment of children’s general knowledge, and the holistic upbringing of children. 

To help teachers, the authors have developed the methodological manual of the Armenian Language 1 textbook, at the same time leaving some space for teachers to implement their creative abilities and skills. The book will become the teacher’s best guide.​
