A 12th-grade Geometry textbook based on the Basic Programme.

The Advanced and Basic programmes of upper secondary school differ significantly. In particular, in Grade 12, the Advanced Programme provides for 102 hours of instruction per year (two semesters), while the Basic Programme provides for 16 hours (one semester).

Of the 16 hours allocated under the Basic Programme, 4 are devoted to thematic assessments and revision. This provides a good opportunity to review previously studied material and prepare for the final examination.

The remaining hours are devoted to the topics “Volume of a Polyhedron” and “Volumes of Solids of Revolution.” Most of the exercises provided for these topics and for revision are not difficult, while the rest are accompanied by hints.

Studying and mastering these topics will also be useful in everyday life and household activities, as the ability to calculate the volumes of solids has practical applications. You will see this for yourself by solving the many practical problems presented in the textbook.
